PhoDographer Cincinnati, Ohio

From Daniel Kaiser, Co-Founder of Adore-A-Bull Rescue

“Words cannot explain how thankful we are for the time you donate to helping find our doggies loving homes. You always manage to find time in your busy schedule for us. While your time is limited, you insist to photograph our dogs until you get the perfect shot that captures their personality best. Not only do you have a passion for animals, but you take that passion and combine it with your talent. The outcome of this combination is a photograph that has purpose, conveys a message, and saves lives of animals in need. Thanks so much for the amazing work you do and your time you give to these animals.”

From Monica Mitchell, Executive Producer of the Everything Pets Expo

“We are so incredibly impressed with your photographs from the Everything Pets Expo. Your attention to detail was terrific and we were so excited to see so many action shots that captured the dazzle of the stage shows and the great close-up photographs of the animals. You really captured the feel of the Expo. Your photographs are a real treasure and we are so very grateful for your artistic eye, creativity and lightning fast service!

From Christine

“What a terrific fun day! It was like having my best friend over for a day of taking photos. My dog wasn’t exactly “cooperating” and my house wasn’t exactly “clean” but Carolyn made both appear perfect! We had a lot of laughs and the finished product was spectacular. She even made my teenage son admit that I looked “really great” – and that says ALOT!   Thank you Carolyn. You did a wonderful job making work into pleasure.”

PhoDographer Cincinnati, Ohio

From Shannon DeBra
Co-Founder of Recycled Doggies & Cincinnati Pet Food Pantry

“I worked with Carolyn at a rural shelter just outside Cincinnati, where she photographed death row dogs with only a few days to live. Her photographs and the information we gathered about the dogs during those photo sessions were essential to getting the dogs to rescue quickly since we had such a short time to save their lives.  Carolyn’s photos made the shelter dogs look like pets, dogs people could picture in their homes and in their lives, instead of dogs behind kennel gates, looking scary and unapproachable. Carolyn’s photos saved the lives of many dogs at that shelter. It was a great experience working with Carolyn to network those dogs to the safety of rescues.”

From Tracey

“What can I say? STUPENDOUS! Our photos were excellent. I went to Carolyn with my two Rottweilers, Jax (10) & Deuce (1) to create a fathers day and birthday gift for my husband. My son JJ and I were part of this masterpiece that left me speechless. There’s a quote that says “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away”. Well our Phodographer certainly accomplished that. I had a very hard time choosing because the portraits were so beautiful. Carolyn really captured the essence of our love for Jax and Deuce as well as creating something my husband will treasure for years to come. The storyboard created of Jax and JJ is simply priceless.”

From Tina & Jeff

“Carolyn gave our family something to always cherish our little girl we lost. Our Jessie was sick from stomach cancer and after finding out, Carolyn got us in VERY quick to get the best pictures we could. She was so patient with our rambunctious little one S’unka who’s had a hard life.  And did I mention the pictures were wonderful?! She went the extra mile to make the viewing a nice experience and to work with us to create a great package! She really cared about all of us and we kept in touch throughout Jessie’s illness.   Thanks so much for everything. I’ve already sent quite a few people her way and will continue to do so for a wonderful experience! Thank you Carolyn!! Woof Woof!!!”

From Rebecca Sylvester
Creative Director, A-Line Magazine

“Thanks Carolyn! These are AMAZING. Seriously, the whole office just came to a stand still while we admired these. This is the best project ever and we’re so happy to have you in on it!”

From Pam

“Carolyn also did a photo session with our dogs, Loki (deaf Cattle dog) and Chester. Her patience is amazing. And her work speaks for itself, so much we made a return visit. Thank you for cherished memories we will hold near our hearts forever.”

From Elisabeth Mayer, Owner of Pet Wants North Pet Supply

“Last month, my new pet store, Pet Wants North, had it’s Grand Opening. The event was a tremendous success, which is much in part to Carolyn and her camera lens. Carolyn was generous enough to donate her entire afternoon to photographing (and developing) over 60 individual dog portraits. She even purchased a wood grain themed photo backdrop to match my store’s decor.   My customers were absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to get a professional photograph taken of their dog by PhoDographer, and many were so pleased with Carolyn’s work that they proceeded to order additional prints, coasters and magnets of their dog for holiday gifts. Carolyn is a delight to work with, and her love and passion for animals is reflected though her photographs. Thank you again, Carolyn!”

From Ann Hill
Executive Director, United Coalition for Animals

“Carolyn did an outstanding job of capturing “a day in the life” of our clinic. The photos of the transport of pets from a shelter in Franklin County, IN are especially terrific. Not only did they document the entire process, but they captured the need for this service and the dedication of all who are involved. Thanks, PhoDographer!”

From Rae

“OMG… I know I’ve said this to you before, but you are an AMAZING photographer! The pictures of Luca and Boomer are so great. And, you’ve done what no other photographer has been able to do… capture Luca’s personality.   The combination of your photography talent and love for animals allows you to take such meaningful images. I can’t wait to hang these pictures up in our home. Thank you again!!”

From Terry Haines, Store Manager of Moochie & Co. in Kenwood Mall

“After hearing multiple customers and friends rave about the work of Phodographer, I decided to approach Carolyn about a partnership. She jumped at the chance to do Pet Portraits with proceeds going to benefit various rescues! Carolyn has a touch with animals like none I have ever seen before. Not only did she exhibit professionalism with the customers but also took her time with each photo shoot to ensure the best picture possible. Every time we did a Pet Portrait event, the number of participants grew, from 30 to more than 70 pets by the third session! It was an honor and pleasure to partner with such an amazing professional to benefit our furry friends in need! WOOF!”

From Jane Vernon Harter, Coordinator of Canine Calendar for a Cause

“Carolyn graciously donated her time and talents to photograph dogs for the 2011 Canine Calendar for a Cause benefiting the Accelerated Cure Project for MS. Her photos are just wonderful! She was able to get all nine dogs in the photo to look at the camera! Some of the photos literally make you smile and lift your heart. She gave us professional quality images and priceless memories. Thank you, Carolyn!”

From Jesse

“Carolyn came to my apartment to take pictures of my two cats. It was nice that she was willing to come to them, as I would not have wanted to take my scaredy-cats to a studio. Carolyn worked hard to capture both of my girls in their “natural” environments and took lots of fun, candid shots. She was willing to get down to their level, play with them and follow them around in order to take pictures from different angles and different locations.  One of my cats is not very photogenic and tends to hide when strangers come in the house. And although she was hiding under the covers in the bedroom, Carolyn was still able to get some adorable pictures of her! I was very happy with the experience and the beautiful pictures of my girls. The experience was priceless!

From Kay

“Carolyn has taken photos of my three rescue kitties a few times over the last six years. She has so much patience, following them around, playing with them, getting down or up to their level (whatever the case might be!), finding both the right pose and the needed lighting!   It brought me much joy, opening up the ’09 Capture Cincinnati photo collection, featuring the winning photo of her family’s newest rescue puppy and to my added pleasure, included my own lovely green-eyed Chloe as well!”

From Dee Parragh, Animal Friends Humane Society

“Carolyn did a fundraiser for our shelter, Animal Friends Humane Society. We could not of asked for a better experience. Carolyn’s pet pictures are amazing. She has a special way with dogs, cats and all family pets and always manages to find that “perfect picture”. Carolyn has a very busy schedule, but always manages to do many charity fundraisers.   Thank you for raising funds for our shelter. Carolyn, you are a shelter/rescue dog’s best friend.”

From Kelli

“I called Carolyn the day that I found out that my sweet Labrador, Ty, had liver cancer and an uncertain amount of time left. I told Carolyn that I wanted to have some photos that would capture my handsome boy’s personality. There were so many moments that I wanted to be able to freeze in time. She made that and so much more happen!

Carolyn was able to capture my relationship with Ty through the lens of the camera. I can look at the photos and still feel all the emotion and love that was apparent to this amazing photographer. My sweet boy died two weeks after Carolyn photographed him.”
