A PhoDographer photo session is an investment in custom artwork featuring you and your pet. Your session fee, be it a studio or lifestyle location session, includes the time and talent of the photographer, online hosting of your photo gallery to share with family and friends, professional photo editing, an order consultation/design session, and a photo credit to be used toward your order.

The most important decision you need to make up front is whether or not you’d like to schedule an “in studio” or a lifestyle “on location” session, which will impact the types of images we capture. This is ultimately a matter of preference, but here are a few other things to consider when making your decision.

STYLE

What style photo are you aiming for? Studio photos are clean and crisp. With an assortment of solid, colored backdrops to choose from, the photo focuses entirely on the subject without any distractions. There are no props or backgrounds to compete with the subject so the attention is entirely on your pet.

Lifestyle sessions are taken on location, offering a more candid and natural view of your pet and your life. These sessions provide a greater variety of opportunities to play and to explore a different look and feel for your photographs. Generally, pets are most comfortable having their photo taken in your own home or a favorite outdoor location, and this is especially true for pets not accustomed to leaving their home. The best places to capture the most genuine moments of your pet are the ones in which your pet is the most relaxed.

Either choice you make, any photo can be produced in color, black & white, or another finish you may prefer.

TIMING

Studio sessions are not as lengthy and can usually be scheduled sooner than a location shoot.  A studio session typically last about an hour, while I request that clients allow 1.5-2 hours for a location session. These are just general guidelines however, and I will take as long as necessary for your pet to become comfortable, and ensure that I am capturing images that you’ll love.

INVESTMENT

Studio Sessions are $175.

Lifestyle Sessions start at $300 and may include an additional fee for travel.

For weekend sessions, add $25.

Prints start at $30 and Collections start at $450.

Your Package Session pricing includes the following:

• Custom portrait session in my Madeira studio, or a Lifestyle session in your home or a favorite location of your choosing
• Unlimited image captures of your family and pets (in the same household)
• Photo credit to be used toward your order, ($50 for studio sessions, $100 for location)
• A full color Proof Book including all images from your session
• Professional editing and processing of your images available for viewing in a password protected online gallery, (approximately 20-25 fully retouched proofs for studio sessions, 35-40 for location sessions)
• Three weeks hosting of a private on-line proofing gallery that can be shared with family and friends
• Consultation/Ordering Session
• Professional quality prints and products from the best vendors in the market
• Travel within a 20 mile radius of Madeira (45243 zip code). A $0.50 per mile charge will be added for additional travel.
