I had such a fun time photographing Bethany and Tony with their kitty, Penelope, their playful girl Nova and their “grumpy old man” Boris. They really wanted some candid family shots and were open to trying different spots even though it meant lugging the entire crew around to a few locations. We met at my studio and captured a few more formal shots, and once we were able to get Penelope to come out from behind the backdrop where she was hiding from us, she actually posed rather nicely for some portraits. Then we were off to do something more casual and the dogs enjoyed exploring their new surroundings while Penelope was transported like a princess in her carrier from place to place. With plenty of treats, water, and new spots and smells to discover, the animals enjoyed their special outing while we all got our day’s exercise!
We were really hoping we might be able to get at least ONE shot of everyone together. But I’ve got to tell you, it was almost impossible to get these three furry friends in the same frame, much less all looking in the vacinity of the camera lens! This was near the end of the shoot, and I think we finally tired them out after a full session of playing and exploring unfamiliar territory, so they stayed put long enough for me to snap this picture.
Thanks Bethany and Tony, for being so adventurous, and for bringing your lovable crew along with you. They were such fun to work with and you guys were great!
